What’s Your Take..?

A couple of days ago, I was online watching a training webinar hosted by one of the finest and most successful entrepreneurs alive today.

Anyway, he said something that took me completely by surprise I must say…

He said that in his opinion, “Blog posts are where emails go to die.”

Now, I gotta say, from someone who spends a heck of a lot of time online, that shocked me a little, seeing that the company I’m involved in places a fairly big emphasis on the act of blogging, as an integral part of the overall marketing system.

Oh well, I guess opinions are like noses, everyone’s got one.

Now, his reasoning behind the statement was because of the fact that he has indeed made over 50 Million online in the last 10 years or so, only using capture pages and consistent email marketing to build his massive list of subscribers.

So, I guess that qualifies him as a bit of an authority in my eyes.

Now, I’ve just scooted over to his website, clicked on the BLOG link and discovered that he does in fact blog, just no where near as often as others do…

If you’re the kind of person who keeps their ear to the ground when it comes to online marketing, you can probably work out who I’m talking about here.
For me, I’d have to say that I really do prefer emails over blogs, but I will post every public email on my blog , just so there is yet another place people can access my stuff.

So, my advice if you’re open to it is this…

Pick a marketing method that truly gets you all pumped up inside and excited to actually do the work, because they all take consistent effort, and go with that…

Sound fair?

Cheers for reading and I’ll catch up with you next time…
